Heroes Market was originally inspired by the co-founders of Heroes Homestead repeatedly meeting veterans that had trouble sleeping or keeping normal working hours. Similar to Andrew's own story, they would often have trouble finding purpose in their lives and struggle making ends meet. This struggle is sometimes coupled with diagnosed disabilities related to their time in service. With limitations to maintain formal work or employment, and relentless struggle with sleep, came the common phrase by Danielle, "let's redeem the 2 o'clock hour." Encouraging veterans who have kept night shift or irregular hours for their career time in the military, it seemed futile to reroute the mind and body. Instead, Andrew and Danielle inspire veterans to follow their body rhythms and develop a craft that can provide for their family, and create a sense of purpose and joy. Many find the midnight hours as their most productive time, and have said they gave up other lesser habits to bring forth their artistry. In that, they are finding purpose and more importantly- joy.
